The Ministry of Public Works in Kuwait has announced the termination of services of 120 expat employees working in the Ministry by the month-end.
According to sources, the Ministry has already identified the names of the employees and they have been included in the service termination list. The list has been submitted to the minister for approval.
An earlier report had mentioned that the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Dr. Rana Al-Faris had arrived on a plan to terminate all expat employees in the Ministry by the end of this fiscal year.
This initiative is inline with Kuwait’s plan to reduce the number of foreign workers in the country, and provide more job opportunities to nationals to fill up the jobs that were so far occupied by non-Kuwaitis.
