The Kuwait government plans to stop state sector employment in the coming five years, and improve private sector employment.
An official document states that the new plan forms part of the economic reforms programme. The document states that the Civil Service Department was commissioned to replace Kuwaiti nationals with foreign employees in various work sectors in a period of five years while also ensuring that the workflow in the government does not suffer.
The plan prompts more Kuwaiti nationals to accept private sector jobs and further expand the employment capacity of private sector, so as to absorb as many new graduates and youths as possible.
The Government sources said that the Ministerial Council has entrusted the Finance Minister, Barak Al-Shaitan and his economic team to plan a financial reform roadmap.
