Kuwait English School is an independent and private international school in Salwa, Kuwait. It provides a British curriculum education from Kindergarten to A levels.
Kuwait English School (KES) is one of the most well-established, well-reputed and highest quality school located in Kuwait. The school was established in 1978 by Mr. Mohamed Jassim Al Saddah, at that time serving as Kuwait’s Ambassador to Spain and the current Founder/Director, Mrs. Rhoda Elizabeth Muhmood; both shared a passion for education.

Following the liberation of Kuwait in 1991, Kuwait English School was honoured to receive a visit from HRH Princess Anne who was most impressed by the rapid recovery the school had made in such a short period of time. KES was the first Educational Institute to reopen after the invasion in the whole of Kuwait. At that sensitive time of Kuwait’s recovery from occupation, KES staff and students welcomed member of the British Military personnel as a gesture of appreciation for their contribution to the liberation of Kuwait.

The school naturally divides into four main areas each one supervised and continuously overseen and developed by four Head Teachers who, along with their staff teams, care deeply about education and the quality of life from which the pupils benefit both in and out of school.
