Indian Educational School

Indian Educational School in Kuwait is a part of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a premier educational trust in India. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was founded in 1938 by Dr. K. M. Munshi, a far-sighted visionary and a practical idealist, who was also one of the chief members of India’s constituent assembly. The trusts offer its programs through its 119 centres in India, 9 centres abroad and 367 constituent institutions, covering “all aspects of life from the cradle to the grave and beyond – it fills a growing vacuum in modern life”.

Indian Educational School in Kuwait was formally inaugurated on November 30, 2006 by Shri M. Ganapathy, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait. It is the 15th Indian School in Kuwait and is the only day boarding Indian school in that country and has the concepts of "No Home work", "No Tuition", "Individual Care for the Children", "Limited number of 25 students in each class". It is the first Indian school to offer Sanskrit as its second language.

The 9th batch of twelfth graders of the School accomplished remarkable aggregates in the AISSC, CBSE Grade 12 Board Examination 2019, with hundred percent pass. In the Science Stream, 44 percent of the students graduated with an aggregate of 90 percent and above, along with scoring more than 80 percent aggregate in all the subjects.

The school has a big swimming pool, two computer laboratories for students (junior and senior), science laboratories and two libraries (junior and senior). In 2015, the school started a program called Bhavans Service Scheme, which is meant to give the students who join it a feeling similar to India's NCC and NSS.

Bhavans offers two streams – science and commerce. The school has three second language options: Hindi, Sanskrit and French (This can be selected from Class 5 onwards).
