India to adopt paperless record checking for work and family visa

The Criminal Record Check of new expats entering Kuwait on work or family visa, will be henceforth approved online.

Beginning September, India will be the first such country to implement this paperless system, and thereafter, it would be implemented in all countries, together with Interior Ministry, Foreign Affairs Ministry and Kuwait Embassies.

The new feature for those visiting from India from the month of September, on work or family visa, will have to first submit their Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) at Kuwait Embassy in their home country.

The Kuwait Embassy will verify its authenticity and then after cross checking it, will be sent to Kuwait Interior Ministry online for further verification and approval, so as to check if the visa applicant is a former resident of Kuwait.

This new paperless system is made by Interior Ministry, Brig. Hamad Al Tawala, Brig. Ali Al Advani, the Director of Central Administration, Col. Musaeed Al Ajmi, Headof Conference department, Col. Issa Al-Ziyadi, Directors of department in governorates, their assistants and staff of the department.
