The Director General of Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC), Suleiman Al-Fahd said that the electronic customs declaration form is a way to ease procedures for travellers. It is activated automatically as per law number 106 of 2013 on money laundering and financing terrorism.
Al-Fahd further explained that the form is electronically completed prior to arrival in a manner so that the time duration for the procedure is shortened while also strengthening security, with the warning that any incorrect declaration will initiate prompt legal action by customs authorities against the concerned passenger.
He further said that every individual entering or leaving the country through various ports should disclose to the customs authorities the amount that they have in possession during their travel such as currencies, negotiable financial instruments whose value exceeds KD3000 or the equivalent in any foreign currency.
