Kuwait International Airport confirms normalcy of flights at the airport

16 December 2021

Taking into consideration the fast-paced spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus throughout the world, the Director of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Youssef Al-Fawzan has confirmed that the condition of flights at the Kuwait International Airport remains normal.

Kuwait Airport strictly abides by the globally enforced health regulations and they are strictly enforced by the airport to control the epidemic.

l-Fawzan further said that the DGCA did not receive any fresh information about other countries where the Omicron has begun spreading.

He also said that the winter travel schedule would be completed and there is no obstacle to travelling to and from other countries, except those that come under the commercial travel ban imposed after the spread of the new variant.

He further pointed out that all the other countries are now imposing health requirements on travellers from banned countries, and such efforts continue to intensify, particularly during the New Year holiday.
