The Women and Family Committee of Kuwait’s National Assembly has granted approval to a proposal aimed at giving monthly salaries to unemployed Kuwaiti mothers.

This implies that unemployed Kuwaiti mothers with children, taking care of them, can soon expect monthly salaries in the range KD500 to KD750.

Mothers with university degrees will be given KD750 while holders of diploma will get KD600. Mothers who have not completed high school will be given KD500, announced Kuwaiti MP, Khalil A Saleh.

He further urged the Kuwaiti government to approve this proposal, as it will help Kuwaiti families manage cost of living. He also thanked the Finance Committee for approving his proposal.

The Kuwaiti MP Al Saifi Al Saifi, revealed that the committee also approved his proposal to increase financial aid grant for women, and hiking public aid by 10 percent or 100 dinars, whichever is higher, every three years.
