04 May 2022

Kuwait has reported a massive surge in prices of air tickets (70 percent to 150 percent) in some cases.

Travellers from Kuwait have chosen the UAE, the UK, Egypt, and Turkey as the main destinations during the long holiday this year, and the tickets were high in demand in these sectors, say latest reports.

The Director of Corporate Communication and Public Relations at Kuwait Airways, Wael Al Hasawi, mentioned that they had to increase flights during Eid to accommodate more passengers.

Hasawi further said that travellers from Kuwait were keen on seeking new destinations like Salalah in Oman, Mykonos in Greece, Nice in France, Izmir in Turkey etc.

Nearly 2800 flights will be operational from 28th April to 7th May, with 76 additional flights operational during Eid.
