29 December 2020

Kuwait will resume flights at Kuwait International Airport on 2nd January 2021, said the Directorate-General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Kuwait on Tuesday.

According to the DGCA Spokesman, Saad Al-Otaibi, the flights will resume on Saturday at 4pm local time.

Meanwhile, he said all decisions might shift depending on coronavirus development.

The Kuwaiti government had decided to suspend all international commercial flights to and from Kuwait, and shut its land and sea borders from 21st December 2020 to 1st January 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic situation, the Kuwaiti government spokesman, Tareq Al-Mezrem announced on 21st December

The cabinet has now decided to open the land and sea ports daily from 2nd January from 9am to 3pm. These decisions will be, however, reviewed based on developments pertaining to spread of coronavirus, the cabinet said.
