A recent statistic issued by the Communications and Information Technology Commission revealed that TikTok topped the social networking applications that consume the most internet capacity in Kuwait, in the video and live broadcast applications category, during the fourth quarter of 2022.
“Tik Tok” still maintains its presence among social media applications, as the most video platform consuming Internet capacities in 2022, followed by the “YouTube” application and then “Netflix”, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The capacity expresses the maximum amount of data that a person can download from the Internet, during a full month, and is usually measured in GB. Capacity differs from speed, which represents the speed of data fl owing to a device per second, usually measured in Mbps.
With regard to social media, the Facebook application came to the fore, to be the most used in Kuwait, then “Twitter” and the social blogging platform “Tumblr”.
