Kuwait reopened three ports on Tuesday after they were closed due to bad weather, state news agency KUNA reported.
Kuwait Ports Authority had suspended on Monday all maritime operations at its three ports, Shuwaikh, Shuaiba and Doha, due to a heavy sandstorm.
Three days ago, the General Company for Iraqi Ports announced the suspension of marine operations due to the dust storm, while the Kuwaiti government said that it had temporarily suspended marine traffic in 3 ports due to the dust storm.
Airports and public administrations were closed, exams were suspended in universities and schools, and about two thousand people entered hospitals, due to a new dust storm that hit Iraq after a series of similar storms that have afflicted the country about a month ago.
