During its weekly meeting convened on Monday, and presided over by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers acknowledged the communication received from the Civil Service Commission regarding the New Year’s holiday for 2024.
The Council has opted to declare Sunday, December 31, 2023, as a holiday followed by Monday, January 1, 2024, as an official holiday.
All operations in ministries, agencies, institutions, bureaus, and government entities will be having a holiday during this specified period.
It was emphasized that entities with distinctive work characteristics will have their holiday arrangements decided by the pertinent authorities, with due consideration given to the public interest.
