MoCI - Licenses of 8 plots pulled; 22 cases under probe

Kuwait Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology Affairs Mazen Al-Nahedh has affirmed the withdrawal of licenses for eight industrial plots, recording 375 violations and referral of 22 cases to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Al-Nahedh asserted that the government is keen on developing the industrial sector to realize the New Kuwait 2035 vision, indicating the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) took all the necessary legal measures against those who violated the law.

He also confirmed the commitment of the ministry to achieve a quantum leap in the sector by following a clear vision to ensure the maximum industrial benefit for the State and investors.

He also stated that achieving the desired goals and objectives for the advancement of the industrial sector requires the empowerment of serious applicants and industrial business owners who should invest their industrial assets, while the law must be applied on all violators regardless of their status.
