Kuwait Traffic Patrols implement advanced Surveillance

Kuwait General Traffic Department has introduced new service patrols vehicles that are equipped with advanced audio and video recording technologies.

These new patrols vehicles are equipped with cameras both inside the vehicle on the front and rear, along with a wireless audio recording device. This will help in documenting any incidents that take place on the roads, which will help to safeguard the rights and safety of everyone involved.

The Director General of the General Traffic Department, Major General Youssef Al-Khadda, disclosed 4,237,454 citations were issued in 2022 and that the violators of traffic laws paid 73,576,375 dinars in fines, reports Al-Jarida daily

Al-Khadda pointed out that the deaths as a result of traffic accidents decreased to 322 compared to 323 in 2021. He revealed that the statistics indicated that the total traffic violations reached 4,237,454, while the value of traffic violations amounted to 73,576,375 dinars. The statistics showed a decrease in the rate of traffic accidents for the year 2022, as the number reached 68,770 accidents, and in 2018 the number of accidents reached 98,329 accidents.
