Kuwait Interior Ministry warned on Sunday against downloading and using of the AnyDesk application due to the security threat posed by the program.
The Anti-Money Crimes Department of the Ministry of Interior has called on citizens and residents to be careful and not to respond to requests to download the “Any Desk” application and others for any purpose, or create or receive bank links from this app.
In a press release, the Interior Ministry revealed that many cases of fraud and theft were reported after using the application, which allows any person to gain remote access to others’ phones and computers.
The ministry also warned against sharing Onetime Password (OTP) messages, personal or bank information with suspicious individuals and entities.
