Kuwait will not extend its 24-hour curfew beyond May 30, the interior minister said at a press conference on Monday.
Anas Al Saleh, Kuwait Minister of Interior, said: “We are entering a new phase in our war against the COVID-19 virus after May 30.”
The government had decided not to extend the 24-hour nationwide curfew imposed due to coronavirus outbreak after May 30. However, the minister said it will be replaced with partial curfew that will be reduced gradually until normal life resumes.
The minister added that the cabinet will announce on Thursday the details of a partial curfew and a plan for public life to return to normal gradually.
Technical teams are working now to put final touches on plans to return to normal life, the minister added.
