Kuwaiti authorities have quarantined 128 residential buildings due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Some 1,051 people tested positive for the new cornoavirus in Kuwait after 128 residential buildings in different parts of the country were quarantined for the virus, the Health Ministry said.
Health ministry official Dr Buthaina AlMudhaf pointed out that 15 cooperative societies have been subjected to inspection across the country.
Around 21,738 residents of those buildings were tested and out of them 1,051 were found to be infected, according to state-run Kuwait News Agency.
She added that 2,900 COVID-19 tests had been taken from the markets to determine the spread of the virus.
