RISE OF THE MACHINES AND ROBOTS FESTIVAL

The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS) in partnership with the UK based educational organisation-‘1001 Inventions’ has announced a new national festival about robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) launching on 9th February 2020.

The “KFAS Robotics and AI Festival” is an educational event in Kuwait that is specifically targeting schools, youth and the general public. It is part of KFAS’s drive to advocate a scientific culture across Kuwait and support the government’s vision to transform Kuwait into a commercial, financial and technological hub.

The 6 day event taking place between the 9th and 14th of February is an interactive adventure taking audiences of all ages on a journey from smart machines in Muslim civilisation to the modern hi-tech world of robotic, AI and machine learning.

The festival features an international range of state-of-the-art robots, hands-on activities, short films, and engaging live shows that enable learning through experience and play, sparking a passion for science and the pursuit of careers in STEM.

Visitors will get the opportunity to interact with robots with various abilities such as the most talented robot piano player; the world’s best actor robot, the world’s best actor robot, coding, machine learning, learn a few yoga moves from one of the most flexible robots, enjoy pancakes made by the most intricate robotics arms, learn about swarm robotics technology and their uses in environmental crisis and much more.
