Amidst the growing concerns about the international Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), the World Health Organization (WHO) recently declared the outbreak a global public health emergency, underscoring the potential severity of the virus and the threat it poses to the global community.
Mindful of the current and evolving health crisis, and after close consultation with the event partners, the organizers have taken the decision to postpone the Kuwait Maritime Summit.
The Event will now take place from 16 – 17 September 2020, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait.
The Kuwait Maritime Summit is a multi-stakeholder platform to discuss strategies concerning the ongoing infrastructure development of new ports, ports-expansion and foster maritime trade in alignment with Kuwait’s 2035 vision.
“The Maritime Transport Development Program” aims to increase the capacity of seaports and develop the services they provide, thereby increasing trade exchange activities and boosting regional trade volume, increasing the volume of investments and contributing to the reconstruction and development of uninhabited islands.
The Kuwait Maritime Summit will also feature interactive discussions that promote excellence and innovation in the maritime sector, identify measures to improve security and explore methods to ensure sustainability in maritime operations.
